Your poem is so restful, in the sense that the hope for a perfect moment (not a perfectionist one) keeps returning in another form, in another line, and it makes you feel that, in the end, it will become reality. I really loved it.

Actually, the first version expresses more emphasizes ... probably I am being bias, but the song is more toward the woman, because she is usually the one insisting of a getaway rather than the man, who at times can be reluctant of escape.

Also, with her singing as the main lead has more power to the song.
